Phone chats

so I am on the phone with my good friend Adria.. here is she with me on our way to Mexico..
it was a great trip. She is driving because I had my eyes dilated a few hours before that at a eye doctors appt.
I love my friend Adria she is so great. And she is coming to my wedding, and coming a few days earlier to help me.

so Joel is going back to England tomorrow. That means we will be able to talk everyday.. Until he is here in Arizona in one week Monday.

I recommend a book called "The Time traveler's Wife" It was so amazing. Very good. I am starting to really like fiction.

my friend went to Brazil. And before she did I warned her about the men in tight speedos. She didn't really believe me... until she sent me this video

The RUNNER

Passing my wisdom on

I decided that I was going pass my wisdom on to my friend Dara about blogging. She is funny, and I know that she would be funny online. So I decided to make her get a blog.
Last night we did karakoe. And let me tell you that I BLEW everyone away!! I am an amazing singer and everyone thought the same.

and also Dara and I played songs on our beer bottles. No we didn't get drunk. Only one beer each... it was a night of sober fun!!

But like I said, it was a super night of singing and making fools of ourselves. But the great thing is I can laugh at myself. And I will try and post a video of me singing. But I am not sure how to do that.
This is my last week of work. I am not exactly sad to leave... or to be done. I used to love my job so much... now I am a little indifferent. Joel comes to America soon... in two weeks to be exact.. I CANNOT WAIT...
okay i have to go, I am reading a great book and want to read more of it!!

Afternoon snack #2: Ice cream sundea yes again different drug rep.

Dinner: salad and a little artichoke dip.
Dessert: tiramsue

Add in one dr.pepper and a coke..

but the best part is that today very randomly my co-worker came up to me and said
"So, tell me, how much weight have you lost? "
and i looked and laughed
and she said "it looks like you have lost a lot of weight, and I didn't know you were trying to lose weight for the wedding"
and I said "well thanks but no trying here"

so see... it doesn't matter.. i guess stressing out inside does help loose weight!!

Bride + martini = bad headache in the mornin'

My bridal shower which was really a bachorlette party was last week. I had so much fun!! My bible study girls threw it for me. And I felt very special! We met at this really nice restaurant/bar/resort The Sanctuary in Scottsdale
http://www.sanctuaryoncamelback.com/content/index.html?
And sat outside next to the beautiful Camelback mountain.
The idea was just to celebrate the up and coming wedding and gifts were asked to be bought on line or small in size so we can travel to England with them!!
I wore a really nice black dress that looks fantastic on me!! And my girlfriends asked me stupid questions like "when are you going to have kids, what are their names, how many.."
Why about kids you ask? I have no idea... That's not really on my mind right now!!

my good friend Vanessa and I

my friend Rachael and I... Just so you can see more of the dress. I will have more pictures later.. as i was a little toasted by the end of the evening and did not work the camera very well.

I got an ipod (yeah Joel registered for one, ) a crockpot (yes), a coffee maker (my favorite) and a fondu set (don't ask okay touchy subject) and money and other things that are great too!!

i had so much fun!! I cannot wait for the next bridal shower!!! YES i am the bride

60 days

60 days left until the wedding. Very exciting! I just cannot wait! I miss Joel. He is in Bosnia.. and I haven't heard from him in a couple days. I understand because he is busy doing what he is supposed to be doing. But its still difficult nto talking to your best friend for a long time.
Anyway, today i sent out the majority of the wedding invites.. .another very exciting thing. And I sent out our support letters. Awesome.
I am beginning to realize that i will miss this place. My friends and stuff. .... more on that later.. i am at work now and kid you not we have "the Bobs" here looking over our shoulders.
And I will later talk more about the bridal shower that I had on Friday... which was fun...
wait for it.. wait for it.

Office life and cheesecake

I may not work in a cubicle or send out TSP reports but daily I am reminded that I truly do live in my own little "Office Space" And yesterday I was reminded of that fact more than ever. As you all know I am a huge FAN of the Office (British and American version) and that David Brent may be one of my heros
so begins my true story:
I was sitting in the break room alone waiting for Joel to call when this guy i work with (who should remain nameless) comes in and says " Your time is coming up huh?" I look at the wall thinking what time? My time at my job, yes i have just a few weeks left, or time until I am married? yes just two months left, time until I die... no one knows the answer to that. This is all running through my mind until I decide to pick my wedding day. So I respond to his odd question "Until I get married? Yes I only have a little less than three months left" And then he states as he is grabbing a plate of food " Time waits for no man." And then sits down and eats his food. Seriously that's all he says nothing else... Nothing. leaves me to wonder what the heck that has to do with anything and leaves to me to not laugh out loud as he is sitting next to me.

And then the next day we all get this email from an inter-office email stating in very hateful and angry tones... " Who ever ate the last piece of cheesecake should know that it was mine for my birthday. I promised that piece for my wife... blah blah blah.." It went on for ever... EVER about how he wanted his cheesecake... same guy mind you. I understand, don't get me wrong. I love cheesecake. And if I would have seen it there in the break room... who knows I would have probably tired a little piece. The great this about this "eaten" cheesecake is that is wasn't all eaten there was just this fork sized piece eaten... .That's it someone just wanted to try it.
Honestly its amazing some times!!
