The honeymoon is over and soon it will be off to England. I am sitting here with Joel and his parent’s house enjoying their company and looking at pictures from the wedding. I am so blessed to have had such a great wedding and week before.
Joel and I went to San Francisco for our honeymoon. We were a little bummed because we could only afford one week in the city but we wanted to spend two weeks away. But then God blessed us with a huge gift. Joel's uncle and aunt live about 30 minutes out of San Fran and they offered their house to us for 5 days. They came to the wedding and because they drove they had planned a 5 day trip back to California. So they gave us their house keys and let us stay there. So we were able to stay in California for two weeks like we wanted.
On the Saturday before the wedding Joel and I picked up my unfortunately short Canadian friend Adria. I was able to spend a whole week with her. And not only did we just have so much fun together and laugh and bond… but she was the most helpful. I don’t think she will understand how much her help meant to me!! And my family loved her and have adopted her as our own!!
(all of the pictures are from our professional photographer)Then during the week we had more family and friends coming in and my good friends the Lusty’s came. They are a family from England who were in America on a four week holiday. And their family spent 5 or so days with us. Charlie and his family mean a lot to Joel and I. When I was in England Charlie took care of me and looked out for me. And to have him at my wedding and spend that much time with him and his family was AWESOME.
Joel had two friends from England come, one Robin played during the ceremony and reception. He was amazing, really amazing. And people loved him and it meant so much for Joel to have him sing for our wedding. Joel's other English Jack was a great addition to the wedding guests.
the wedding day! I tell you what. I knew that our day would be great… and very special but I didn’t know how much. The best day in my life by far and the most memorable. God blessed us with amazing weather and beautiful peace!! I was worried that I would be so stressed out and frazzled that I wouldn’t enjoy the day. But that was not the case. I was calm and having fun the whole day. I woke up frickin early… 6:30am because of my lovely niece Ava. I was able to have Sarah spend the night with me and hang out with me all day and help me like a great matron of honor. My sister Lasha made all of us shirts that said Hot Bride, Maid of Honor, Bridesmaid… and so on!! They were great and we wore them all day!!
Anyway, like I said the weather was great and when we got to the salon I was really worried that the girl would not do my hair very well. But she did an amazing job. IT was JUST perfect.
And then we just hung out. I think some people took naps. We as a family just relaxed.
The ceremony was beautiful, we do have a video but I am don't think that I can show you all.
The professional photos were so great, the woman did a great job.
Sue Dropp from Unique PhotographyI am not sure what else to say... because we had so much happen. I know that I have said it before but God really showered Joel and I with loved ones and great times. I had my entire immediate family around!! All my sisters and their families. Joel had his family with us!!
Okay... I think that might be it for now. But I wanted to post pictures... so here you go.
