something a little off... can you spot it

As Joel and I were getting ready to change our sheets and go to bed... we found something rather odd in our bed...
Our gnome Gordy has been on the drink, its been a bit of a problem lately..not sure what to do about it.

Actually our house mate Emily and us are having this "fight" about Gordon...who can hide him the best... he moves everyday... you never know where you will find Gordon.

The Couch

this is our new (old) couch... we love it and now have people round all the time in our room..

its the start of our new look to our room. the couch was found in a YMCA second hand shop...the best.

Don't we live in England?

So Joel and I live in England right? The land of the reserved and quiet... and the polite...
well today we had none other than cheerleaders at our doorstep....
We live in the loading dock for our local mall, so there is a lot of space.. and these girls thought that it would be a good idea to use this space for practice......
So then we thought why would Americans come all the way over here to cheer.... well they wouldn't... all these girls/guys were English...
I am sorry England for bringing this terrible "sport" to your country... so sorry.

This is video was taken outside my kitchen window... i was trying to have a nice quiet cup of coffee

this video was taken outside Emily's window... right in the loading dock area..

A weekend in London

Last weekend after our Hallown't party Joel and I contuined our partying to a friend's engagment party! It was such a great time. She had her party on a boat on the Thames river... going up and down the river right in front of all the sites... It was very high class!
And then that evening we spent the night at our friend Jack's mum's house! That was really fun!

Then that Sunday we went to the Imperial War Muesum.... um yeah that was more for Joel and Jack...

Hallowon't Party

Last Friday Joel and I hosted our 2nd annual Halloween party!! We called it a Hallowon't Party because here in England its really not at all celebrated by Christians, and Christians generally don't dress up or anything ...at least in the States some Christians see it as a fun night...
This year's theme was Alice in Wonderland! Below you can see pictures of our costumes and the fun that was had. In the morning the girls we live with and I cleaned up the house! And then they started decorating and I started baking. I baked my famous brownies and these cupcakes I saw... Anna decorated them ...very lovely don't you think?
Then we started to carve the pumpkins... Emily did a wonderful pumpkin of the Chestshire Cat... sadly that was died because of a hate crime against fun... stupid kids and they pranks.
This one survive..Joel carved this one... very nice and happy

So now that all the preparations were finished..it was time to get ready! I was getting dressed and somehow managed to hit my face REALLY REALLY hard with my wardrobe door..in the corner of my eye... it immeiately came up as a big red bump and still hurts today... ouch

here is the unveiling of our costumes... Joel was the Jabberwok (the dragon in Lewis Carroll's poem)! Joel's hands are all red because h just killed a man. well actually it was because we were mixing red and yellow food coloring for the cupcakes... who knew red stains?

And I was the Queen of Hearts.. because I am the Queen of the house. This was my crown... of sorts... it looked good.

Joel trying to drink a beer.

Say hello to our friend Dave... he came as Alice!! he was a great Alice I must say... bed sheet and all!!
