Janet and Dan's visit

Joel's parents have just left after a great visit... we didn't take too many pictures because Janet took a bunch...so once I get some of those I will post some of their visit!
When they first came the weather was so disgusting..rainy, blustery and cold...but God totally blessed us with almost a full week of sunny warm weather! I am glad they got to experience Brighton in glorious weather!
We did a lot of relaxing and hanging out while they were here! We are so glad they came to visit. It was nice to see them and have some quality time with them, because when they come back in January their time and all focus will be on their first grand child baby Violet! So we were glad to spend some time with them this time!
We did however go bowling...which is quickly becoming a tradition any time we are wiht Dan and Janet.. here are some pictures.. of course Joel and I didn't do so well..we are not what you call 'good bowlers' but hey its about the fun right??

Baby stuff

well its been a long time since I have blogged! Bad Adriel, bad! We have had a very busy few weeks really! And haven't had much time to blog! But today I have time and energy and lots to say and show you!
Joel's parents just left today after a wonderful two week visit! Their visit here was perfect, really relaxing and quality time spent before Violet arrives! They plan on coming back in January after Violet is born... and so that time will be spent mostly with Violet!
While Janet was planning on coming over here she arranged for friends and family to send baby shower gifts along with her to give us! It was such a blessing to receive all these amazing gifts and gestures of love from people back in the States. Some of the things baby Violet got were amazing home made quilts, blankets, sock monkey and a lovely print picture!! Violet also got a plethora of clothes.. such cute little things! Oh she is going to be styish!!

Sockett the sock monkey.. and the quilt that goes along with it. Joel's aunt Judy made both. If you look closely at the quilt all the brown bits are actually individual sock monkeys.. so clever!!
this is the beautiful blanket that Janet knit for Violet. Its so soft and cuddle-able.. I am not sure I want to share it with Violet but keep it for myself! I love it.. and a little bear she was given from our friend Jodi.
Violet also got a bunch of books, I am so happy people are concerned with her reading ability. I love that we have a books to read to her...
this is Joel and I as we are opening all the gifts... Joel's mom lovingly wrapped all of them for us!
