This weekend was good, busy but good. Friday was Joel's birthday and we had a great time hanging out with friends for dinner! We went to a Chinese restaurant with the classic name "China China"! But it as great food nonetheless. After that we went back to our place and had drinks and hung out with our friends! Joel and I love hosting, and I must say that we are really good at it!!
Then on Saturday we had a big job to do. We had to get our house ready for the outreach team that is coming this Saturday. So all day we moved beds around, cleaned, vacuumed and rearranged rooms. But before we did all that we had to go to a store called Comet and another called B&Q (the equivalent to Sears with out the clothes and a Home Depot) to buy a dryer and a shower head... it was a fun little Saturday!
We had to catch the bus to get to these great stores, and on the ride back the adventure of public transport began! First of all our bus driver hit another car, and the woman was complaining that she had just picked up her car that day and that it was brand new... so the little fender bender took about 20 minutes, and we were stuck on the hot bus! Fun!! During the time we were just sitting there doing nothing there popped two annoying kids trying to get the attention of their mothers who obviously are tired of having a kid. The first pair of mother and son, they were Russian and she scared me...so the dirty looks I would normally give to the mom I held inside, but boy were those looks evil! Well her son was asking his mom for something in Russian, and instead of looking at the kid she looked out the window and seemed to be saying something that was taunting the kid instead of loving him. So this conversation went on forever, the same three Russian words over and over agian!! And he got louder and louder by each taunt from his mom.

The second little shit.. I mean girl was actually taunting her mom, and was saying abuse to her. But the tragic thing was that this little girl was only about 5. And she then when her mom didn't react to her, she turned her attention on the little boy. And started taunting him... and what did he do? Well he screamed. Yeah, really just screamed on the top of his lungs twice... and this little girl just laughed. And this time the mom who was a huge black woman (who by the way scared me as well, so I could not say anything to her either.) just laughed...
meanwhile, we are still stuck on the bus, sitting in the sun sweating... I almost lost it. Finally we got off the bus at the next stop. As I got off I said loudly "There were too many ill-disciplined children on that bus!" and this older man said to me "There everywhere I am afraid!" And that made my day... he was very sweet! So that made me not want to have kids for a long time.
Again the weather has been just beautiful, and so sunny. As a result I spent my whole day outside on the lawn with a blanket and friends. The sun was very hot, and for some reason I got sunburned... but not just any old sunburn but a very selective sunburn that came only on my left upper arm... that's it nowhere else. But it was worth it because what a beautiful day!!
But now I sit in my bed not feeling well.. lets hope its just the flu.. or maybe sun stroke!!
