Thanksgiving!!

Even though Thursday was Thanksgiving Day, Joel and I celebrate it on Friday evening with our friends! Its easier and better for most of our friends since Thanksgiving isn't a holiday here. For three years now Joel and I have hosted a huge feast for friends! It has been a great tradition we have started, and even though I was so exhausted and could barely walk after the night was finished I am so glad we did it this year!!
We had about 25 people to cook for but tons of help, our friend Dave helped us go grocery shopping wiht joel, and our team member Jordan helped me bake and cook on Thursday!
Because we have a smaller flat than the Vicarage we held this meal at our church. It was a great place to have it as the kitchen was big and the oven was HUGE!
I didn't have to clean up the kitchen this morning, I decided to play the pregnancy card...only two more week of playing this pregnancy card so am going to play it a lot this week.

I woke up this morning so excited to decorate for Christmas... oh yeah and Violet is due in 7 days!!!!!

joel and i cooking together.me really excited to eat turkey... Joel puts the turkey in a brine for about a day and a half before we cook it. and it turns our very very moist and really good.
the raw turkeys.

our kitchen as we prepared the food the day before and the morning of! we make our sweet potato casserole with a bit of run.. its delicious.

Our friend Drew helping me make stuffing.
some helpers working on the decorations.. they did a great job as I did not even plan for anything like that!!! it looked great in the end!
we made balls our of tin foil... it really hurt my hands.

this is the before everyone came!!

for some reason it looks like I am really scared of the tin foil... i was probably telling some on off!

this is at church..as we began to cook all teh food. We only ended up being about 30 minutes late .. pretty good for thanksgiving right??

look..our two turkeys cooking away!! and our sweet potato casserole!

I am alive

I know its has been ages since I have blogged... and we still our without internet, but tomorrow is the day supposedly when it gets turned on!
We have been really busy with moving and sorting out our new house! But the place we are living now its amazing! God has really blessed us with a great flat!
Here is a picture of me 38 weeks pregnant! I am starting to get really, really uncomfortable and my sleep is lacking even more. I wake up about every hour just trying to adjust myself which takes a long time. And Violet hasn't dropped yet so she is still cuddled up in my ribcage which is not very pleasant either. I have a midwife appointment for tomorrow afternoon. And if Violet hasn't dropped by then they will do an ultra-sound to see what position she is in. There of course isn't anything they can do, but they just want to see what she is up to! I do try to move her by using an exercise ball but that hasn't' helped much either! Oh well, we shall see!
I have 12 days until she is due...I cannot believe how quickly it has come!

Even though Thursday is Thanksgiving we are celebrating the wonderful holiday on Friday with all of our friends! We have about 30 guests coming this year, and we are holding it in our Church since we don't live in the huge vicarage anymore! Please pray that the evening goes well, and I can keep up! We have lots of help this year and plan on using all disposable cookery and plates and such... but do pray for my endurance that I can handle the all day cooking and such!
I will take loads of pictures and post them this weekend!

I am going to go now..i will blog more later!

We are all moved in....

So Joel and I moved house last weekend..we have been in our new amazing flat for about a week and a half! We love it, its such a warm and inviting place to live!! We moved into this place because of two reasons: its bigger (still 1 bedroom but bigger) and its a lot cheaper rent each month!
Our kitchen is huge and our toilet is abnormally big as well but its all good! And we have attic storage space...the attic is almost as big as the flat itself! I have some pictures of it empty and as we moved in last week. And once I have the bathroom all sorted I will take photos of how we arranged everything!
God is so good to us, and this is the perfect place for us to have Violet during her first year of life!

this is our kitchen

joel and our friend Dave... I am taking this picture from our hatch in the kitchen to the living room. Dave kept on getting in the frame on purpse so this is the best picture i have.
