79 days

Can you believe it? 79 days until Joel and I are married. I am getting so excited for the day. Its going to be such a fun day. We are starting to talk about the specifics of the ceremony. Its so much fun.
We are also 95% done with our support letter. I am having mom look at it. To proof read it and look at it from an outsider view. So thats also very exciting. Oh gosh.. so many things are so exciting!! okay i must go but i thought I would blog a little.
but honestly 79 days... YES

the bunny (or bear not really sure what it is) says hi but would you please stop staring at his arse.

leaving for The Bosnia

Is there anything new to report? I don't think so. Joel leaves for Bosnia in two weeks or so. And he and his team will be there for one month. They will be doing a lot of practical work out there, I think building a play ground or something. I am excited to hear what Bosnia is like but I am not excited because we do not know how our communication is going to be. Finding phone cards and phones to use there is not easy... Pen pals... For a month. Not fun I say. Not fun!!

Done

So the motto "no pain no gain", they say. No freaking kidding. I would like to say that I never expected that this procedure would cause me such pain. I thought on Friday night and Saturday that this was not worth the pain! But now I am feeling better. not great but much better. My mom knows how everything went on because I was out of it for most of it. So if you have questions ask her. I do remember a few things here and there, like I had a few people talk to me while I was regaining consciousness and really all I hope is that I didn't embarrass myself. and not liking my b*^chy night nurse who wouldn't give me pain meds or my back pain or ice chips... my lips were very chapped! And the other things I remember now I can laugh at because why not find them funny, and you can ask me about them later. I have to save some of them for my goodie bag. I am very excited that I potentially will not have tachycardia again. But we won't know for about six months. But God was very good to me during this time. I felt completely covered in prayer and peace. Truly I felt no nervousness or anxiousness and I know it was because of the prayers of the saints. Thank you for your prayers. The very last thing I remember that was said to me was "you know you are not supposed to look so beautiful" The anesthetic nurse said that to me... or it could have been an angel, i am not sure! but nonetheless was very nice. now my fingers have lost all their swelling and my ring can fit on my finger again...and well lets just say i keep on finding medical tape residue in places that i find offensive!! And I finally got the hospital smell off of me, for days I could smell yucky hospital, but now its just my lovely scent
So its my birthday tomorrow. I forgot about it until yesterday when mom reminded me of it. who knew. 25!! how exciting. I used to tease joel for forgetting his birthday, i couldn't understand how you can forget about such a day..but now I can see it can be done.

testing

Hey there! Joel here, I guess I just wanted to see if this thing worked for me as well. Not sure that I really have anything to say at the moment but since my name is on the title I thought I should probably make my presence known. The weather here in england is nice at the moment. still a little cold but at least it's not raining! The winter seems to finally be over. We are having a week of round the clock prayer right now. I've been covering about 4 hours a day, and let me tell you it's been pretty tough. It's hard to keep focused on prayer for that long. I don't think I've had one shift yet where my mind didn't wander off and think about some movie or book I like. At the same time though it has been really good. I've had a chance to really concentrate on praying for loved ones and friends, and God has been really speaking encouragement to me in my own life. Well I will let that be all for now but I will post again soon. Later.

Invites, and herman's need for hospice care.

I had a fabulous weekend! So much fun! Many antics ensued this weekend with my friend Dara and I!! We went up to Sedona to get my dress fitted! The dress is going to look beautiful!! Well its already beautiful but it will look even better after the few alterations happen!! I would love to post pictures of the dress fitting, but I don't want to ruin the surprise for everyone (including Joel... he must not see!!) I am now in the tedious process of ordering my invites and trying to create the best wording for each invite. We are having three separate invites for this stinkin' wedding... and I have to word each one of them differently. But now I am done, and it will be great. I love the invites, they are beautiful!! There was this strange old man at the creek and he was wearing the best outfit a Colonel Sanders look a like could wear... and well Dara and I wanted a pic of him... so we pretended to take a picutre of Dara but instead snapped a perfectly posed picture of him!! can you find Dara?

also this bug... well he wanted to show off so he did a headstand... you can't see it properly... but he was trying to impress us... and he did!!

on a very, very sad note.. I think Herman Stanley is dying. Seriously, no drama here. I think he has THE tumor...

he is becoming sluggish and not moving around as much... oh he lasted almost a full year. But he is not dead yet!!

love
