Joel's 30th Birthday

Joel's turned 30th on April 6th, and I planned a weekend away trip with some friends for the week before his birthday. It was a surprise weekend, and he had no idea about the trip until we were at the train station with all of his friends showing up! He was a bit confused and took him a little bit but he really enjoyed himself!! We went to the Isle of Wight, a little island of the English channel that takes about 1 hour to cross by slow ferry. Its a cute little island that is best to visit in the heat of the summer, so we had okay weather but it was a bit on and off!! But hey that's what you get when you live in England. We went with our friends Dave, Jack, Kate and Joe..and it was a really great chance to hang out with these guys for a whole weekend. They all love Joel so much and showed it by coming along with us. We walked down to the beach where there was sand.. Violet wasn't used to sand and loved playing in it and we bought a bucket and shovel, she loved it!!
